Week 1 : Sneaking IN.

It was the first week of the month of June, the year 2021. We, three of us joined in for the unit CIU212. We got it with a blank head as its just right after a mega project we managed to achieve during Studio 3 named "Pablo Let's Go Bar". For this time we were discussing multiple ideas and technologies we need to implement in our game. We had a session with our lecturer were she asked us about our plans, the only answer I had was, we are still talking about this. Later that day we spend some time thinking and writing down all the ideas including the pros and cons of each of them. We did so with an intention to submit all of those to Ahmed Bakar for reviews and insights.


We later had a meeting with him on Thursday were we discussed our ideas with him. He was mainly stating the challenges that we would face in every case. He gave green light for a few of our ideas as those contained some unique elements to them. One of its is Stealth Cooking and other id RTS NPC simulator. Abo Bakar told us to prototype all of our potentially successful ideas within the coming week so that the scope and promise of each can be judged more accuracy. That night we created out git repository for file transfer and synced our codebases to begin our work. We had decided to start working on the stealth cooking simulator in the coming week.


On the proceeding Sunday we had a short meeting with him to discuses all the new Ideas and potential changes to the existing once we manage to come up with. First of all we began by telling the plans we had about our first prototype for the cooking game were the player collects the items for cooking at nights form different buildings and sells it at the day in his shop as per the orders of the day. The second suggestion given by Abo Baker was that try not to separate collection and sale but instead make it both concurrent activates. Like a person comes in and orders a food the player leaves the store through the back door and steals the ingredients form the street behind.


The other Idea we had was the to make an RTS NPC simulator, were the player is an "insignificant NPC" were he is given orders by the AI player who battles another player. But due to the fact that the scope of the game is a bit large, we decided to cart with prototyping the Stealth cooking game. Then we briefly mentioned the our new Idea which is an Escape Room concept were one of the player tries to sabotage the whole escape procedure. Abo Baker asked us to prototype that one too, he told that the main difficulty is the Multiplayer part other that that all of it is quiet possible.
