Week 7 : Modum.

I attended the class online the class was about using the material system to add different sort of textures. She showed how to selectively add transparency to object surfaces using BW texture. We can also add height add normal map by applying height-map to the material. The main subject of the class was about how to render the UV layout of the unwrapped object so that can be taken to the photoshop and the texturing be one within the layout so that it can be added as a diffuse/albedo to the object.

The UV layout output resolutions are the following 1024x1024, 2048x2048 and 4096x4096. And also the preferred output format is in Targa or .tga format. One quirk we may encounter while working with .tag file in photoshop is the its might have some issues while exporting from photoshop. for to fix it export it in 32 bit per pixel resolution.


I spend the later week to finish the modeling and unwarping the treasure chest. here is the uploaded project file.
