Week 13 : El Dorado

The Online class started at 6 pm. The class started off by the tutor explaining about how to structure the project folder by going to File > Project > Create Default > [Browse and Create Folder] > [Select Folder]. She also went over what are the requirements for the submission. First is a show reel of all the previous submissions with the pupils name included, show the render (image and video ) of Project 1, Project 2 and Project 3. And secondly a 5min presentation video detailing all the LOs and answering 5 Transferable Skill question.


press 8 key to open up the environment lighting window and also open the material node editor window, then in the search bar of node editor type in HDRI Environment. Drag and drop the node to the work area. then drag and drop the output of the node to the HDRI image slot of the environment lighting window then select the HDRI texture you would like to use as the background color. The class ended on that note and she told us that we are free leave if there are no questions to aske.


Later that week I worked on the Medieval Dungeon scene. models the scene and unwrapped the models. For the implementations of the Mesh Smooth Modifier I applied it on the pillar. The scene setup looks like this




The render turned out to be ok but not great mainly dur to the fact that I am not familiar with the controls. I have also manage to write a CG Research paper about Technical Art
