Week 1 : 2021, a new year.

Class 1. It was the 7th February, year 2021. I rejoined the university to continue my studies. I joined for studio unit GPG230, in this unit we mainly focuses on several core topics that can help in making of a successful game. Anyways back to the story. I woke up worked out and opened the link for the class. I joined in and there was none, I thought I was going crazy, went back and looks through the timings and dates, thats all right. the class starts at 10 am. I waited for some time and my buddy Anikith showed up, seconds later my tutor Mr.Mustafa joined the room. We waited for a few minutes and started the class. Mustafa took us over the course topics at for this unit. Its mainly: - Netwoking, - Shader Development, - Multi-platform Deployment - Marketing and Business. - Job System, and - Database Management. Then next comes the time we were trying to decide our teams. I put forward a request to make us into one team considering the arrangements some of us have done to stay out and join in after one unit while some others tries to make money to pay off the debt and pay the university fee. Mr.Mustafa had a different view point and was trying think of ways and reasons why spiting would be good for us. Me being at a position and considering the sacrifices that were made by team mates ticked me off which lead me to heat-up and demanded to keep us as one team. Which as I predicted and so did went south. We ended up being hostile towards each other till the end of the class. Then we were asked to form a team, and before that we were asked to tell who would we prefer to go with. all of us stayed silent as it would be disrespectful and would erupt unnecessary tensions among us. So Mr.Mustafa formed the teams on our behalf; Team A - Anikith, Vishnu and Juma. Team B - Alwin and Aryan

(I told Mr.Mustafa earlier that I am not looking forward at Aryans input for the project as he doesn't have the best track record ever.) As you can tell I am "very pleased" to hear this. But due to me being someone who faces things head first, I chose not to object the decisions as I was confident that I can push through. Well after a few moment of silence among us, Juma spoke about the team arrangement, so seeing him stand up I thought well I should back him, so I did what best fits a "Man's Man". I requested to get Juma into my team in exchange of Aryan. So with a bit of a budge Mr.Mustafa agreed to our request. Then he asked the teams to split up and come up with ideas. I and Juma tried to re-pitch what were planing make from before as a 4 man team. We pitched it to Mr.Mustafa and he said its totally "garbage". I asked him to clarify whats the garbage in it and to make it clear, but the only answer I got was you don't know to pitch. The class got over and I left the chat.

That night i and Juma was up and was trying to come up with 3 ideas so we made three game ideas, two of which are rogue-likes and the other which was an vehicular action game.

Class 2 It was a fine afternoon, the class began at 2pm. I joined the link and waited for teacher to show up and seconds later he did. Once all of us arrived Mr.Mustafa began talking about the team organization and about the outcome of the discussion he had with Mr.Ahmed(game department head at SAE). He told us that he let us form one team under one condition, that is we should make a big and sophisticated game with a lots of features. The both of our teams presented a all of our ideas to the tutor. Mr.Mustafa did a voting to pick the idea out of the once we presented; Gunfire Reborn rip off emerged the winner. After taking a small break we entered into the second section of the class. were Mr.Mustafa began giving an overview about the different network architectures in use like LAN, MAN, CAN, WAN, WLAN. We also disused about the security, pros and cons of using different architectures for different architectures. He also mentioned us the difference between bits/s and Bytes/s. bits is the measure of data transfer and Bytes is the measure of data storage. So if its mentioned that like for example 50 Mbps its 50 mega Bits per second, so to find how many mega bytes it is dived it by 8 and you will get 6.25 MBps. He also taught us about the different kind so IEEE standards of transmission and types of cables used to establish network connections.

Class 3 We had a class from 2pm - 5pm today with Mr.Mustafa, The first part of the class he recapped important parts of the last lecture and we had a short break, then after that we entered to the main section of the class, It was very informative. he explained how different types of networks work and several associated information's. He also explined how the gateways work, the protocols used like TCP and UDP. IP addresses and the rules and hardware used to assign them and manage them. difference between HUB and switch. The class ended with a note on the practical demonstration of the whole thing the next day that will be displayed in the class.

I am really excited about the class as we were in lockdown for about an year now, now I get to go and meet my friends in person.
